New beam assembly machine is put in operation

In September 2016 the beam tack assembly machine ZL-1800 was put in operation at JV Konar-Cimolai. The machine significantly reduces the steel structures fabrication process.

Previously two operators assembled the beams. The elements had to be marked preliminary, set along the axis, pushed by the jack, and then tack-welded. The new machine enables one person to perform the operations. The elements are installed along the axis with further automatic tack-welding. The time required to assemble a beam prior welding is reduced by 2 times. This equipment was delivered from China. JV Konar-Cimolai is planning to continue upgrading the machine-tool fleet. At the moment two new machines more have been delivered, they are being prepared now for the installation.
